Community Energy Coalition member, National Trust, is hosting a number of special Green Living events from Saturday 13th September to Sunday 28th September. Many of these coincide with the national Heritage Open Days weekend (13th -14th September) and are free to enter.

Enter the world of Victorian inventor, Lord Armstrong, and explore the first house in the world to have been lit by hydroelectricity. On the Green Living trail, you can discover how history is being recreated by lighting the house today using a 12 kilowatt Archimedes Screw and 2 kilowatt LED lighting system. Fancy trying out energy saving at home? This event, in partnership with Good Energy and the Centre for Sustainable Energy, is all about sharing what we’ve learnt so you can have a go too.
