Community Energy Coalition member, National Trust, is hosting a number of special Green Living events from Saturday 13th September to Sunday 28th September. Many of these coincide with the national Heritage Open Days weekend (13th -14th September) and are free to enter.

Take a look behind the scenes at how they’ve achieved their goal to make the mill completely self-sufficient, all by harnessing the power of nature. The historic and modern technologies include a 4kW PV array, long combustion biomass boiler, crossflow turbine generating 1.5 kilowatts per hour and Francis turbine generating 8 kilowatts of power per hour. This Green Living day, in partnership with Good Energy and the Centre for Sustainable Energy, is all about sharing what's been learnt at this special place so you can have a go too.
