Join us for a tour of Westmill wind farm and solar park: the first onshore wind farm to be built in the south-east of England and is 100% community owned. The wind farm produces more green electricity in a year than is used by 2,500 homes whilst avoiding emissions of at least 5000 tonnes of carbon dioxide a year based on the UK generation mix.

The walking tour will take you past the five 1.3MW wind turbines and up to the 30 acre solar park of over 20,000 panels. Lunch will be provided under the turbines and volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions.

Please be aware that these are no facilities available on the site. Bring warm clothing as wind chill can be significant, even in sunny weather.
